The Palace of Culture (Palatul Culturii) is not just a building, but a true symbol of Iași and one of the most recognizable landmarks in Romania. This grand structure, built in a striking Neo-Gothic style, was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century and immediately became a center of attraction. Its majestic appearance, central clock tower, and elegant decorative elements leave an indelible impression on every visitor to the city.
The scale of the Palace is breathtaking: inside there are 298 spacious halls, and the total area exceeds 34,000 square meters. Initially, according to legend, it was planned to create 365 rooms—one for each day of the year. Walking through its halls, you can appreciate not only the external but also the internal beauty of the building, including such gems as the Gothic Hall with its mosaics and the Hall of the Voivodes with portraits of rulers.
