How to get to Agadir

The journey from coastal Essaouira, a distance of 175 km, requires just over 3 hours, while the trip from the southern city of Guelmim (196 km) takes about 2.7 hours. For those not renting a car, intercity "grand taxis" are a convenient option.

1. Clothing and Weather. It is warm and sunny during the day, but evenings by the ocean can be cool and breezy. Be sure to bring a light jacket or sweatshirt, and for walks in the city, choose clothing that covers your shoulders as a sign of respect for local traditions.
