Saint Petersburg
Russia's cultural capital is teeming with unusual spots and establishments. We especially recommend visiting Street Art Museum with unusual photo locations, New Holland and the 'Bottle' shopping space, the Museum of UnTruth, where you can see a time machine, encounter mythical creatures, and solve humanity's mysteries. In addition, delicious Czech trdelniks and a hot berry drink await you at Sevkabel Port. The best place with a view of the Gulf of Finland to sit and reflect on what you've seen during the day.

Also, on Gagarinskaya Street, there's a Harry Potter-themed cafe, with butterbeer and other treats from the beloved universe on the menu. But book a table in advance – you can't just walk in.
Kaliningrad
Here, the entire delight is caused by the Museum of the World Ocean. A huge whale skeleton, a submarine, and the 'Vityaz' vessel – it's astonishing just that all of this exists. Be sure to check out the souvenir shop – the museum's merchandise looks simply awesome.

Sochi
While it's still too early to swim, heading to the mountains is perfect. There aren't many museums in the city, so it's better to immediately explore the surroundings and get acquainted with nature. The Yew-Boxwood Grove, the defunct Ordzhonikidze sanatorium, Akhtyrskaya Cave, Agur Waterfalls, and Skybridge – the longest suspended pedestrian bridge. After reaching the other end, you can return by zipline. You definitely won't be bored!

Kazan
Everyone who loves speed will enjoy the KazanRing Canyon racetrack. The track length is almost 3.5 kilometers, and you can ride with a driver. If you want active recreation, head to the 'Pautina' rope park or the 'Distantsiya' trampoline center.

Perm
To broaden your horizons, we recommend visiting the Permm Museum of Contemporary Art, the Planetarium, the Aviation Museum, the Transformer Robots Museum, and the 'Retro Garage' Automobile Museum.
Ufa
Besides historical museums, there are a couple of unusual ones. For example, the Lemonarium – an entire orangery where various lemon varieties are grown. The Planetarium falls into the category of educational and entertainment museums, if you suddenly want to look at the stars. Soft comfortable chairs and interesting sessions about the history of space. Both children and adults will find the interactive museum of entertaining sciences 'Intellectus' interesting. This is one of those cases where you can and even should touch the exhibits, because they clearly demonstrate the tricks of optical illusions, natural phenomena, and laws of physics.
Samara
Interested in space? Then visit the 'Samara Space' exhibition center and the Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics. You'll also enjoy the Museum of Photography History. And be sure to check out the Zhigulevsky Brewery. Afterward, you can take the kids to Galileo's Park of Wonders.

Krasnodar
If you happen to catch good weather, be sure to stroll through Krasnodar Park. The way it's been landscaped is simply magical, and walking there is a pure pleasure. If you're traveling with children, definitely visit the interactive museum Einsteinium. There, they engagingly demonstrate and talk about natural phenomena, laws of physics, and other scientific things. We talked about other places in the city in this article.

Chelyabinsk
Did you know that there's a 'Bali' near Chelyabinsk? In general, the destination is more suitable for nature tourism than urban. But in any case, there's something to see both in the city and the region. We wrote more about Bali and other interesting places here.

Yekaterinburg
Everyone should visit here, even several times. The city is large, interesting, and lively. For example, there's Galileo's Park of Wonders, where they demonstrate tricks with color, light, sound, and even space.

If you're looking for some art, head to the Sverdlovsk Film Studio Museum. During the tour, you're allowed to try on the image of your favorite movie character. And you can also take photos in various sets.
Adults will find it interesting to visit the 'About This' museum – a museum about human intimate life and everything related to it.
Novosibirsk
How much do you know about the sun? If you're interested in its history, and how it's connected to gods in mythology, visit the Museum of the Sun. Guides will tell you about each exhibit and its place in history. And if you want to learn more about happiness – then head to the Museum of Happiness. Interestingly, the exhibits represent things that once brought happiness to someone and are somehow connected to this feeling.

Omsk
Could anything be simpler than the Brick Museum? Also, the city has two planetariums, a regular one and a digital one. And an incredible number of galleries: Kvadrat, Open House Gallery, Boli Sher, World of Painting, Gallery 28. Check it out, maybe there will be cool exhibitions during your trip.
Krasnoyarsk
Here too there's its own version of an interactive science museum – Newton Park. And afterward, you can visit the Exporobot Robotics Museum.

But Krasnoyarsk isn't just about museums, it's more about nature. In winter, there's the Bobrovy Log ski resort, and in summer, there's a nice park for picnics and active games. The city, it seems, is made for relaxation, because the Yenisei River cuts right through Recreation Island!
Mineralnye Vody
