Aeroflot Baggage Allowance Rules
Items you take on board can be divided into two types: hand luggage and checked baggage. Hand luggage can be taken into the cabin, while checked baggage is dropped off at check-in at the airport. Let's talk about each type separately.

Aeroflot Hand Luggage Requirements
If you are traveling in Economy or Comfort class, you are allowed one piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 10 kg. When flying Business class, hand luggage must not exceed 15 kg. The dimensions of the bag are standard for all classes: 55 x 40 x 25 cm.
As hand luggage, you can carry:
– a backpack weighing no more than 5 kg and with dimensions not exceeding 80 cm in the sum of three measurements, or a ladies' handbag, or a briefcase with items placed inside the backpack, or bag, or briefcase;
– a bouquet of flowers;
– outerwear;
– a laptop, camera, and mobile phone;
– baby food for the child during the flight;
– a suit in a garment bag;
– a child carrying device (baby bassinet, restraint systems (devices) for children under two years old, a baby stroller with dimensions not exceeding 42 x 50 x 20 cm);
– medicines, special dietary products for the duration of the flight;
– crutches, canes, walkers, rollators, a folding wheelchair, removable limb prostheses (arms, legs), a portable oxygen concentrator (with dimensions not exceeding 55 x 40 x 20 cm). A folding wheelchair is transported in the aircraft cabin if there is space for its safe placement. Otherwise, it is checked as baggage without additional charge;
– goods purchased at duty-free shops at the airport, packed in one sealed (tamper-evident) plastic bag, with dimensions not exceeding 115 cm in the sum of three measurements.
It is important that each airline has a clear list of what cannot be taken in hand luggage. We advise you to familiarize yourself with this in advance.
You can also carry one of the following items as hand luggage:
– a musical instrument with dimensions not exceeding 135 cm in the sum of three measurements. The transportation of a guitar must be pre-arranged no later than 36 hours before the flight departure. This can be done through the contact center, sales office, or an official agent. The number of guitars transported on board is limited;
– one tennis or squash racket, packed in a case;
– a badminton set — two simple rackets and three shuttlecocks in one case.
If you are carrying items from the list above, the transportation of other hand luggage, except for items carried in excess of the norm without additional charge, is prohibited.

Baggage and Hand Luggage for Passengers with Children
For children aged 2 to 12, the same baggage rules apply on the plane as for adult passengers.
For passengers with an infant without a separate seat, one piece of baggage weighing up to 10 kg is allowed, with dimensions not exceeding 115 cm in the sum of three measurements. Passengers on the Light tariff are not provided with a free baggage allowance.
Aeroflot Excess Baggage Fees
On Aeroflot flights, any excess (dimensions, weight) is considered oversized baggage. It must be paid for separately. In addition, different tariffs apply for tickets issued for a specific date and countries of flight.
Weight Overages
For example, if you are flying from February 22, 2023, in Economy class within the European part of the Russian Federation, and your baggage weighs up to 23 kg. Then an additional piece costs 42 euros. (Prices are valid as of 21.03.2023)
If your suitcase weighs between 32 kg and 50 kg, and you are flying from the Russian Federation to neighboring countries, the excess weight will cost you 150 euros.
Please note that the maximum weight of one piece of baggage must not exceed 32 kg. Loader unions in many European countries prohibit them from lifting suitcases weighing more than 32 kg. Not every airport will accept a suitcase with excessive weight.
Dimension Overages
Baggage whose dimensions exceed 158 cm in the sum of three measurements is considered oversized.
If your suitcase size is more than 158 cm but less than 203 cm, its transportation will cost you 100 dollars or euros (depending on the destination). If the baggage is over 203 cm, you will have to pay as much as 150 euros.
Skis and snowboards are also considered oversized baggage, however, during the ski season, Aeroflot transports them completely free of charge in addition to the main baggage allowance. You can take hand luggage, checked baggage, and a set of ski equipment in a case (skis, poles, boots, helmet) free of charge.

Exceeding Multiple Parameters Simultaneously
It is not uncommon for a passenger to exceed two parameters at once, for example, the number of pieces and weight. In this case, the excess amount is summed up.
Example:
you are flying to Paris in Economy class. You have two suitcases weighing 15 and 26 kg. In this case, you need to purchase an additional piece of baggage and pay for the excess weight of 3 kg (26 – 23 = 3 kg).
One piece of baggage costs 50 euros, a suitcase weighing from 23 to 32 kg costs 100 euros. The total amount is 150 euros.
From this, it can be concluded that exceeding the number of pieces will be much cheaper for you, so in such situations, if possible, transfer the extra kilograms to the 15 kg suitcase or take them as hand luggage.
By the way, the link already describes the rules for transporting liquids in checked baggage.
