Entry Rules for Countries Worldwide
Where will it be very difficult for a tourist from Russia to get to, and where will travelers be welcomed even without a visa? Or, conversely, you have long dreamed of visiting Russia, but don't know what is needed to cross the border.

Important: entry rules for different countries are changing rapidly — we advise you to check the latest information directly with consulates before your trip.

So, here are the entry rules for most popular tourist countries:
- Australia. From Russia, you can only get there with transfers, after obtaining a tourist visa. A valid international passport is required.
- Austria. Entry from Russia only with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Abkhazia. You can only get there from Russia with transfers; visa-free entry applies to Russians. You can enter with both an internal passport and an international passport.
- Azerbaijan. You can fly direct. No visa is required for stays up to 90 days. You can only get there by air until April 2, 2024. A valid international passport is required.
- Albania. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least 90 days after leaving the country are required.
- Algeria. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A visa must be obtained. An international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country is required.
- Armenia. You can enter with a Russian passport. No visa is required if you enter for no more than 180 days within a year. You can fly direct.
- Andorra. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least 90 days after leaving the country are required.
- Angola. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you are staying for no more than 30 days. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country.
- Argentina. From Russia, you can only get there with transfers. No visa is required if you enter for no more than 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Bangladesh. A visa can be obtained upon arrival. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. An international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry is required.
- Bahrain. A visa is required; it is issued for 14 or 30 days. You can fly direct. A valid international passport is required.
- Belarus. Yes, you can fly direct and travel by land. No visa is required. You can enter with a Russian passport.
- Belgium. You can only get there from Russia with transfers; a Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Bhutan. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A visa and an international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry are required.
- Brazil. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you plan to stay for no more than 90 days. Yes, an international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry is required.
- Bulgaria. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A national visa is required, which is processed on the website of the Bulgarian embassy. An international passport valid for at least three months upon return is required.
- United Kingdom. Travel from Russia is only possible with transfers. A British visa and an international passport valid for at least six months, with at least one blank spread, are required.
- Hungary. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Venezuela. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you plan to stay for no more than 90 days. Yes, an international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry is required.
- Vietnam. You can fly direct from Irkutsk. No visa is required for stays up to 45 days.
- Haiti. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. An international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry is required. A visa is processed upon arrival.
- Germany. Entry from Russia only with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Greenland. Entry from Russia only with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Greece. Entry from Russia only with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Georgia. You can only get to the country from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you stay in Georgia for less than a year. Only an international passport is required.
- Denmark. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Dominican Republic. You can only get to the Dominican Republic from Russia with transfers. No visa is required for stays less than 30 days, but an electronic authorization must be filled out.
- Egypt. You can fly direct. A visa is issued upon arrival; only an international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry is required.
- India. You can only get to the country by plane, with a prior transfer. An international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry and a visa are required. The latter can be electronic or paper.
- Indonesia. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A visa is obtained upon arrival, and your international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country.
- Ireland. Entry is only possible with a transfer. The international passport must be valid for at least three months from the date of departure. An Irish visa is required — you cannot enter with a British one.
- Iceland. No direct flights. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Spain. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and a valid international passport are required.
- Italy. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Kazakhstan. You can fly direct or travel by land. No visa is required if you stay in the country for no more than 90 days. Russian tourists can enter with an internal passport, but an international passport will be required for residence there.
- Cayman Islands. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A visa for here is processed at the British consulate. An international passport, of course, is required.
- Canada. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A Canadian visitor visa and a valid international passport are required.
- Cambodia. You can only get to the country from Russia with transfers. Don't forget that your international passport must be valid for at least six months upon return. A visa can be obtained both online and upon arrival.
- Qatar. Yes, you can get here by direct flight. A visa is processed upon arrival, and the international passport must be valid for at least six months upon return.
- Kenya. No direct flights. An electronic ETA authorization must be obtained before entry. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Cyprus. You can only get to the country from Russia in 2024 with transfers. To enter, two important conditions must be met: obtain a Schengen or national Cypriot visa, and ensure your international passport is valid for at least three more months from the date of return.
- China. You can enter the country both by land and by direct flight. An international passport valid for at least six months after return and a national L-type visa for tourists are required for entry.
- Colombia. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required for those planning a trip for less than 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months upon return.
- Costa Rica. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you plan to enter for no more than 30 days. The international passport must be valid for at least three months upon return.
- Cuba. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. No visa is required for those staying in the country for no more than 90 days. Your international passport for travel to Cuba must be valid for at least one month upon return.
- Kyrgyzstan. You can get to the country both by land and by direct flight. No visa is required for those staying in the country for no more than 90 days. You can also enter with a Russian passport.
- Laos. Travel is possible for those willing to travel with transfers. No visa is required if you stay in Laos for no more than 30 days. The international passport must be valid for no less than six months after returning from there.
- Liechtenstein. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Lebanon. You can only get to the country with a transfer. A visa is processed upon arrival in the country. The international passport must be valid for at least three months upon return.
- Luxembourg. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and a valid international passport are required.
- Mauritius. No direct flights. No visa is required if the trip lasts no more than 60 days. An international passport is required for entry.
- Madagascar. You can only get to the island with a transfer. A visa is processed upon arrival. The international passport must be valid for at least six months after return.
- Malaysia. You can only get there with a transfer. No visa is required if you stay in the country for no more than 30 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months after return.
- Maldives. You can fly direct. No visa is required if you stay in the country for no more than 30 days. The international passport must be valid for at least one month from the date of entry.
- Malta. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Morocco. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if your stay is up to 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months upon return.
- Mexico. No direct flights. An electronic visa and an international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry are required.
- Moldova. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. No visa is required if your stay is up to 90 days. However, an international passport will be required!
- Mongolia. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country. No visa is required if your trip does not exceed 30 days. You can only fly from Russia with transfers.
- Namibia. You can only get to Namibia from Russia with transfers. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry. No visa is required for those staying in the country for no more than 90 days.
- Nepal. A visa is issued upon arrival in the country; entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Nigeria. No direct flights. For entry, an electronic authorization, an international passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, are required; a visa is issued upon arrival.
- Netherlands. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Norway. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- New Zealand. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A visitor visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Oman. You can enter the country with transfers. No visa is required for those arriving in the country for no more than 14 days. The international passport must be valid.
- UAE. You can get to the country by direct flight. No visa is required for those planning to stay in the country for no more than 90 days. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Panama. You can only get to the country from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you stay in the country for no more than 90 days. The passport must be valid for at least three months upon return.
- Portugal. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Russia. Foreign citizens wishing to enter Russia visa-free must submit an electronic application via the ruID app or the Gosuslugi portal. This must be done no earlier than 90 days and no later than 72 hours before the planned entry. For citizens of Tajikistan, an onward ticket and an international passport are additionally required for entry into Russia.
- Romania. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- North Macedonia. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return from the country are required. Entry with a Schengen visa is allowed for up to 15 days.
- Seychelles. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. No visa is required for stays up to 30 days. An international passport is required for entry.
- Serbia. You can get to the country by direct flight. No visa is required for those arriving in Serbia for up to 30 days. The passport must be valid for at least three months upon return.
- Singapore. A visa is required for entry; visa-free transit for no more than 96 hours is allowed. No direct flights. The passport must be valid for at least six months.
- Slovakia. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Slovenia. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- USA. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. A visa is required for entry, but it is no longer issued in Russia. The international passport must be valid for at least three months upon return.
- Thailand. No visa is required for tourists entering Thailand for no more than 60 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months upon return from the country. Unfortunately, there are no direct flights.
- Tunisia. No direct flights. No visa is required if you are entering the country for no more than 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Turkey. You can fly direct. No visa is required for stays up to 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least four months from the date of entry.
- Uzbekistan. You can fly direct and travel by land. No visa is required, but after 15 days of stay in the country, registration is needed. Entry into the country is with an international passport.
- Philippines. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. Russians can stay in the country visa-free for up to 30 days, but an online form must be filled out 72 hours before arrival for entry. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- France. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Croatia. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return from the country are required.
- Montenegro. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required for those staying in Montenegro for up to 30 days. The international passport must be valid for at least three months upon return.
- Switzerland. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return from the country are required.
- Sweden. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A Schengen visa and an international passport valid for at least three months upon return are required.
- Sri Lanka. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. An electronic ETA authorization is required for entry into the country for up to 30 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the country.
- South Africa. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you stay in the country for no more than 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least one month upon return.
- South Korea. Entry from Russia is only possible with transfers. A visa is required if you plan to visit the country for up to 90 days; an electronic K-ETA authorization is also needed. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Jamaica. You can only get there from Russia with transfers. No visa is required if you are entering the country for no more than 90 days. The international passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
