Elisenbrunnen is not just a fountain, but one of the main symbols of the city of Aachen, located in Germany. This elegant Neoclassical pavilion is a majestic rotunda with a colonnade, built over the famous thermal springs. The structure was erected in the 19th century and immediately became a center of social life and a popular wellness destination.

The name, which translates as "Elise's Spring," was given to the pavilion in honor of Crown Princess Elisabeth Ludovika of Bavaria, the future Queen of Prussia. The main feature of Elisenbrunnen is its two drinking fountains, from which hot mineral water flows. Be prepared for its specific sulfurous smell, which, however, only highlights its healing properties and natural origin.
Today, Elisenbrunnen remains an important tourist attraction and a favorite walking spot for both tourists and locals. Here, you can not only taste Aachen's historical water but also admire the elegant architecture and see commemorative plaques with the names of famous spa visitors. This place perfectly conveys the atmosphere of an old European spa town.
