Where to go in summer 2025

There's not much left of spring, and you still haven't figured out where to go on vacation in summer 2025? We've put together several original options – to the sea, to the mountains, on excursions, in Russia and abroad. Because you already know about Sochi, Kaliningrad, and Antalya ;)

Abrau-Durso

Pyatigorsk

Jokes about spa and resort holidays aside: it's healthy, pleasant, and now even fashionable. Because taking care of your health is currently trending. And the local mineral waters, mountain air, and therapeutic mud contribute perfectly to this. However, even just walking around summer Pyatigorsk is a pleasure in itself. Here, Art Nouveau, Classicism, and Stalinist Empire styles are intricately intertwined. Therefore, it's definitely worth visiting Gukasov's coffee shop, strolling along the "Tsvetnik" boulevard park, and seeing the "Hermitage" hotel. For mountain enthusiasts, climbing Mount Mashuk is a must. The walk takes about an hour; for the lazy, there's a cable car. For something more original, we recommend the "shameless baths" – a cascade of wild, naturally occurring pools.

Kazan

Haven't been to Kazan yet? It's time to fix that! Find flights to Kazan on Kupi.com: just an hour and a half in the air, and you're in the capital of Tatarstan. For your summer program, in addition to visiting the Kazan Kremlin and the Palace of Farmers, we suggest adding trips to the Blue Lakes, walks in Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure (yes, like in Moscow), and along the Kazanka River embankment. Yerevan, Armenia

It's logical that in summer, flights to Yerevan will be more expensive than in the off-season, but this is the best time for mountain trips. And Armenia has plenty of mountains. To the east of the city stand the Gegham Mountains, to the north is the Kanaker Plateau, and Ararat is visible from everywhere. If ascents and all other tourism without five-star comfort are not for you, then Yerevan can offer a scattering of ancient churches, historical monuments, and beautiful streets. The trump card up the sleeve of Armenia's capital is Jennifer Lopez's concert as part of her Up All Night world tour. It will take place on August 3, 2025, at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.

Baku, Azerbaijan

Let's move further east and reach the Caspian Sea right in Baku. Here you'll find everything at once: beaches, museums, ancient palaces, and modern art. Near Baku are the resorts of Shikhovo, Mardakan, Buzovna, and Zagulba with the best beaches. This is in case you want a leisurely holiday and a beautiful tan. If you're more interested in exploring the city, visit the Carpet Museum, see the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, and take a ride on the funicular. Then compare the feeling of the old city streets with the impression made by the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Port Baku Towers skyscrapers. In summer 2025, Baku will also not be without a visit from world stars: Justin Timberlake will perform on July 27 at the Baku Olympic Stadium. An additional reason to visit Azerbaijan.

Fethiye, Turkey

Turkey is not limited to Alanya and Antalya. Marmaris and Kemer. Bodrum and Side. There's also Fethiye! Although it's a coastal city, there are no beaches directly within its boundaries. However, everything in the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. Especially Oludeniz, the beach and bay of the same name. The best view of the area, of course, opens up from above. Phan Thiet, Vietnam

Phan Thiet, Phanthiet, Fantyet – no matter how you write it, the meaning is the same for us. This Vietnamese resort welcomes tourists all year round. From October to February, windsurfers and kitesurfers hang out here. Then the wind dies down, and the best time for sunbathing begins. White sand, palm trees, warm sea – what else do you need for a perfect summer? For those who can't spend a week or two just shuttling between the beach and the hotel, Phan Thiet has plenty to see: pink dunes, the Reclining Buddha statue, Cham towers, Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda.

Pattaya, Thailand

Summer and Thailand. And why not? Rainfall in June is already less than in May. If it rains, it ends quickly. The air is +30-32, the water is about the same. And the fact that the sky is covered with clouds won't prevent you from getting a tan. So, definitely bring SPF with you. Pattaya also has entertainment for all tastes. For children – a water park, for families – parks and museums, for adults – clubs and bars.

Short list of must-visits: Big Buddha statue on Pratumnak Hill, Sanctuary of Truth, floating market, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. Short list of must-dos: try Tom Yum, get a Thai massage, take a speedboat trip to the islands.
