Where to go in March: beach destinations in Russia and abroad, best ski resorts
March is the perfect time to say goodbye to skis, skates, and mulled wine, shed your puffer jacket, and head somewhere far away. For example, to sunny Tashkent or bohemian Belgrade. In this article, we tell you where to go for the March holidays without spending a million rubles.

Where to go to the sea in March
Thailand
Let's start with a popular option for where you can go to the sea abroad. On average, the thermometer in March in any of Thailand's popular resorts does not drop below +28 degrees, making the country perfect for a holiday. Most often, tourists come to the Andaman Sea coast in Krabi province to simply lie on the beach. Those who want to explore the local culture can safely go to the capital, Bangkok. Here you can visit several Buddha temples, the bustling Chatuchak market, and the green Lumpini Park.

Vietnam
Get ready for a warm holiday, but remember about acclimatization when you go to enjoy Vietnam in March. We recommend starting your trip with a visit to the capital, Hanoi, to see the Old Quarter, the majestic Presidential Palace, and drop into the Museum of Fine Arts. Then it's just a matter of choosing a resort: Nha Trang with its magnificent nature, Phu Quoc island fringed with paradise beaches, or the city of Da Nang for surfing.

Cuba
A place where you can go to feel a pleasant and steady +28 degrees as soon as you step off the plane. And right after that, if you wish, you can go to the sea and swim, as the water temperature will be around +24 degrees. In short, a paradise. The only nuance is a long flight. However, it's worth it: upon arrival, you just have to choose what appeals to you more: diving and surfing in Varadero, Cayo Largo with its clear water and white sandy beaches, or the capital, Havana, with its cozy streets and rich culture.

UAE
Starting spring with luxury is great. Despite the UAE's reputation as an expensive destination, you can still have an affordable holiday. For this, you should choose Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah. The first emirate is only 40 km from the popular and tourist-favorite Dubai, yet it is quiet and no less rich in interesting locations. The second is curious for its attractions: the Pearl Farm, the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah, and the Hajar Mountains. And of course, if you want luxury, Dubai's doors are always open.
An unconventional destination for a March holiday is Makhachkala. The temperature stays around 10–12 degrees Celsius, but even if it's cool, it's not a problem in the Caucasus: a little local cognac, a chudu flatbread with cheese, lamb on coals, and you're ready to conquer the Dagestani mountains. See the central Juma Mosque, built in the style of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, stroll along Rasul Gamzatov Avenue, and take a train to Derbent — the oldest city on the Caspian Sea coast and a UNESCO site.

Turkey
We've saved a place that is unlikely to be suitable for a full-fledged beach holiday. In March, the thermometer in Turkey stays at a maximum of +19 degrees, so swimming in the sea is definitely not an option. However, the trip will appeal to travelers who enjoy strolling along promenades, enjoying fresh air, and exploring the country's culture. Plus, prices will be significantly lower than in summer, when every tourist strives to buy a ticket to Istanbul on Kupi.com and go to an all-inclusive hotel.

Where to relax in Russia in March
Sochi
In March, Sochi is a blessing, because the temperature reaches +16 degrees. At this time, swimming in the sea is unlikely, but you can walk along the Black Sea coast and have dinner with seafood. In general, the healing sea air is good at any time of the year, but it is much more pleasant to enjoy it in warmth.

Kaliningrad
Welcome to Russia with a European flair. Kaliningrad is worth visiting at least for its nature and long hikes along the Curonian Spit. And also to listen to the organ in the Lutheran cathedral and gaze at the stained-glass windows in Kneiphof.

Kislovodsk
Sunbathing, of course, won't be possible in March, but strolling through the old parts of the city is definitely an option. Be sure to visit the two main attractions: Resort Park and Narzan Gallery. Of course, we recommend visiting one of the main Caucasian beauties — Dombay. There you can not only ski but also eat delicious food.
Makhachkala
Welcome to Dagestan! In March, Makhachkala will be around +10 degrees Celsius, but warm hospitality and delicious food will warm anyone. A must-visit in the republic's capital is the Juma Mosque and Rasul Gamzatov Avenue. We also recommend taking a trip to stroll along the shores of Lake Kezenoy-Am: there you will find water of extraordinary beauty and picturesque landscapes.

Where else to go abroad
Belgrade, Serbia
The first thing to visit upon arrival is the Stari Grad district. Here are the most magnificent structures — Belgrade Fortress and St. Sava Temple. Be sure to interrupt your long walk at local establishments to drink coffee and try pljeskavica and burek meat pie. We also recommend heading to the Zemun district, where ancient temples and houses with tiled roofs are located.
Tivat, Montenegro
Tivat was founded in the 3rd century BC, and you can come here in March to experience the atmosphere of every historical era. Be sure to visit the Porto Montenegro yacht marina and the Island of Flowers with its male monastery. In general, Tivat seems to be created for enjoying luxurious sunsets with friends over delicious seafood and a cup of coffee.

Yerevan, Armenia
March is a golden time in Yerevan, when it's already warm, and there are still few tourists. Of course, climbing the “Cascade” to see the breathtaking panorama of the city is a must-do upon arrival in the Armenian capital. Be sure to come here with company to have a good time, dining in the most delicious restaurants, exploring the Erebuni Fortress, and discussing the architecture of the Kond district with its somewhat dilapidated buildings.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan
This is where it will be very pleasant to walk, as the temperature in March rises to +20 degrees. When you come to Tashkent, be prepared for your feet to get tired from long explorations of local architecture. The most interesting structures are the majestic Minor Mosque with its large turquoise dome and the Hazrati Imam religious complex. And, of course, before leaving the city, you should visit Chorsu Bazaar — it's incredibly beautiful there, though prices might be inflated. But you will immediately feel the Uzbek flavor and rhythm of life.

Tbilisi, Georgia
In March, Tbilisi won't have a consistent temperature: upon arrival, you'll find either windy or calm weather. Besides endless rows of mountain peaks and incredibly delicious local cuisine, there's plenty to see in the Georgian capital, such as the Gothic entrances in the Sololaki district and the glass Bridge of Peace spanning the Kura River. In short, Tbilisi will definitely have a lot of beauty.
Ski resorts
In general, March is the time when you can catch the last train before the end of the ski season. We consider it important to warn that in early spring, snow already begins to melt, which can trigger avalanches. Therefore, take the planning of such a holiday very seriously.
Dombay
Grab a ticket to Mineralnye Vody, travel about 200 km by bus or car to Dombay Glade, check into a hotel — and there you have the opportunity to ski at a popular Caucasian resort. More than 10 trails with a total length of about 25 km are available to tourists. You can also come here with children: they will calmly sled or learn to ski under the supervision of experienced instructors.

Krasnaya Polyana
This resort is located in Krasnodar Krai, approximately 70 km from the city of Sochi. It is considered one of the best in the country. Moreover, ski pass prices become lower than during the high season. So if you really wanted to, come here for the service: there are comfortable lifts and great slopes for different skill levels. Beautiful!
Sheregesh
Who knows, maybe you'll decide to go on a skiing adventure to Kemerovo Oblast? In March, the powder at Sheregesh is still great. As are the prices for a holiday: during the high season, the resort is considered quite expensive. Therefore, if you plan to ski here, be prepared for many other enthusiasts. Otherwise, the location is excellent, the nature is beautiful, and Gornaya Shoria is, as always, breathtaking.

We wish you a great March with friends and in new locations!
