When is the best time to fly to Vladivostok
Summer is the ideal time to fly to Vladivostok, right? It all depends on the month. Summer in Primorsky Krai has its nuances. Let's figure out when it's best to plan a trip and where to enjoy a beach holiday. Grab tickets Moscow – Vladivostok and start preparing for a long flight!

Weather in Vladivostok in June
Traditionally, the beginning of summer also marks the start of the holiday season. And beach holidays in Russia are not just Sochi and Anapa, because we have Primorsky Krai! Many start planning summer trips for June. This is where Vladivostok's unexpected feature reveals itself. It is the cloudiest month of the year, though relatively warm. On average, the air warms up to +16-18 degrees, but there might only be a couple of clear days in June. Rains often occur, but the main disappointment of June in Vladivostok is the fog. Because of it, the city loses its main highlight – magnificent views. There's a constant feeling that you're walking inside a cloud: not only majestic bridges but also nearby houses disappear from view. However, perhaps this strange charm is exactly to your taste?

Weather in Vladivostok in July
July, however, is already considered the start of the beach season, hurray! True, don't expect Thai heat: during the day, air temperature ranges from +17 to +23 degrees. But the sea water already reaches +20-22 °С. For convenience, imagine that summer has shifted on the calendar by at least a month, and then everything will start to look more familiar. On the downside, typhoons, strong winds, and short but heavy downpours sometimes occur during this time.
Weather in Vladivostok in August
Peak season! A dry, warm, sunny month when comfortable weather and temperatures – around +25 degrees – finally set in. During this time, you can swim and sunbathe to your heart's content, which is why tourists from neighboring regions flock to the city. If you're planning to visit Vladivostok and it's important for you to go during the summer, postpone your vacation until August. The sea water will warm up to +22 degrees. The only downside, perhaps, is that August is considered a rainy month.

Weather in Vladivostok in September
The 'velvet season'. The sea is still warm, the air is no longer hot – beautiful! The most comfortable time for trips to Primorsky Krai. Rains, of course, still happen, so it wouldn't hurt to bring an umbrella and a raincoat, but there's still a chance to swim in the Sea of Japan. Late August and early September are the best times for diving and sea fishing.
Beach holidays in Vladivostok
We've figured out 'when', now let's look at 'where'. The city stands on a peninsula, with Amur Bay on one side and Ussuri Bay on the other. Both sides have excellent beaches – 'wild' and equipped. In short, what to see in Vladivostok and where to visit is always available.
Glass Beach
Let's start with the most unique and famous beach in Primorsky Krai. The history of Glass Bay looks unappealing: a glass factory, production, a landfill. But the result turned out amazing. Now, residents of Vladivostok and tourists come here for the beach, strewn with small, sea-polished, colorful glass pieces. The infrastructure is poorly developed; don't expect benches or gazebos. And you shouldn't take glass with you as souvenirs. Just admire the unexpected result of human negligence that nature managed to turn into something beautiful.

Shamora Beach
The second most famous beach in Vladivostok, although some might disagree and place it first. The beach of Lazurnaya Bay, known as 'Shamora', not only gave its name to the 'Mumiy Troll' album but also earned the love of locals thanks to its sandy shore, clean water, and surrounding hills. Among its epithets, there's even one: 'better than in Turkey!'

Yubileyny Beach
A beach right in the city center, literally near the central Svetlanskaya street and the famous Millionka. Therefore, its main advantage is its developed infrastructure. All kinds of cafes, bars, rentals, piers – all of this is abundant here. But due to its location, there are also many people, which should be kept in mind. In summer, many people swim here without issues.
Akhlestysheva Embankment
Let's head to Russky Island! Wooden decks, rescue posts, changing rooms are available, but the most interesting thing is a part of a Chinese schooner once washed ashore by the sea. Akhlestysheva Island shelters the bay, so there are no waves or jellyfish here. Families with children will also like it because it's very shallow and the water warms up quickly.

Kungasny Park Beach
Another beach within the city limits, popular with locals. Clean, beautiful, you can sunbathe, sit in a cafe on the shore, rent a gazebo. In summer, many vacationers come to Cape Kuznetsova, so the surroundings can sometimes get a bit noisy. And there's no natural shade here, so it's best to bring a beach umbrella from home.
Chernysheva Bay Beach
This place is notable for its shore covered with large flat stones, from which vacationers happily build towers. Otherwise, it's a classic wild beach. But with a view of Cape Tobizina and a strong current. If you still decide to swim, bring coral shoes to walk on the stones.

Chaika Beach
Feeling nostalgic for the Black Sea coast? Maybe you just miss a railway near the shore? Then the small 'Chaika' beach is perfect. There are SUP rentals and picnic areas available for rent. Swimming is prohibited, but walking, running, and sunbathing are encouraged.
