What to do in Krasnaya Polyana in winter
Well, are you ready to conquer snowy peaks on a board? Celebrate New Year surrounded by mountains? And ride to the sea during the day? In short, are you ready to buy tickets from Moscow to Sochi and head to Krasnaya Polyana this winter?
This destination is not just maintaining its popularity, but quite the opposite – it's constantly gaining momentum. Our “Courchevel at home” has acquired its own style and a variety of entertainment beyond snowboarding. So, visiting this trendy resort is worthwhile even for those who are only willing to wear ski suits for photos. We've gathered everything you can do in winter in the Sochi mountains into one article.

Activities without physical exertion
Skypark
Want to ride, but “not ride”? We understand. And Skypark, apparently, does too. That's why it offers many attractions suitable for those who crave a kind of “safe extreme.” Here you'll find the Skybridge suspension bridge connecting the slopes of the Akhtyr Gorge, Bungy 207 and Bungy 207 Pro jumps, and SochiSwing – the highest mountain swing in the world. Just remember that in winter, the operation of most attractions depends on weather conditions. No wind and snow – we ride, if there is – we wait for it to clear up.
Address: Sochi, Kazachiy Brod village, Krasnoflotskaya St., 54a
Price: from 1,000 ₽
Tickets: skypark.ru

Helicopter tours
See the mountains, ride, and stay seated at the same time. During the flight, you'll be shown a panorama of the Sochi National Park, you'll fly over the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, Rosa Khutor, Alpika-Service, and that's just the “minimum” program. It's not a cheap pleasure (a one-hour flight will cost 600 thousand rubles), but the experience is truly unique.
Where: Solaris Aviation Center, Estonskaya St. 19k 2a
Price: from 16,700 ₽ per person

Suspension bridge
If the funiculars have brought you to Rosa Peak, stay here a little longer and look around properly. You can find a lot of interesting things on this peak alone. For example, tickle your nerves by walking across the suspension bridge. In winter, the small one, 70 meters long, is open. But don't rush to smirk smugly; first, try walking over the abyss. The journey takes only a few minutes, but you'll remember them for a long time.
Where: Rosa Peak 2320 m
Price: from 1,500 ₽

Swings above the clouds
Walked across the bridge? Great, now get on the swings. Yes, they are on the edge of the gorge, but that's the whole point. You soar into the air over the abyss and admire the mountains while your heart stops. From a mix of fear and delight. Don't worry, you'll be given a safety harness and helmet, so we recommend dressing in something comfortable: a long coat can wait for another occasion.
Where: Rosa Peak 2320 m
Price: from 1,500 ₽

Ride, but not down the mountains
Rodelbahn
An option for an active and fun date in the Olympic Village. The sleds here are two-seater, perfect for couples. They glide along rails at a speed of 40 km/h on a route with three turns. This rodelbahn operates year-round, and in the evenings, it's illuminated with colorful lights, making the ride even more enchanting.

Price: from 1,300 ₽

Luge and bobsleigh track
Does 40 km/h seem too slow? Then switch from a sled to a bobsleigh (though technically it's also a sled). Here, the speed reaches 125 km/h, though you won't be allowed to drive it (which is logical). So, an experienced pilot will guide the descent. Still want independence? Then take a "vuchka". This soft bobsleigh is specially designed for tourist descents without a pilot. The track, by the way, is a real Olympic one in both options!
Where: Sochi, "Alpika-Service", Rzhanaya Polyana tract
Price: from 4,000 ₽ (vuchka), 15,000 (winter bobsleigh)

See animals
Reindeer farm
Let's continue exploring unusual modes of transport, this time – sleds with reindeer in harness. Real northern ones, mind you! They were brought here from a Surgut reindeer breeding ground, lichen was delivered for feeding, and now guests of Krasnaya Polyana go to the "Forest of Wonders" park to see these amazing northerners, feed them, and pet them. Winter is the best time for such a visit, as the reindeer will also give you a ride along the snowy road. A real fairy tale!

Husky Khutor
But the culture of the peoples of the North available in the Sochi mountains doesn't end there, as there are also Siberian huskies. Charming, cheerful, and always joyful dogs, eager to run, run, run! So in winter, you'll be seated in a sled with a team here too and sent to explore the surroundings. Afterwards, you can pet the entire furry pack, take photos, and drink hot tea.

Price: 1,000 ₽ (excursion), 3,000 ₽ (sledding)

Bath complexes
Feeling cold after walking around Krasnaya Polyana? A banya (Russian bathhouse) is the most reliable way to warm up. And when you can also enjoy a steam bath with a mountain view, your vacation truly reaches “new heights.”
"Endemic" Bath Complex
It is part of the premium glamping of the same name, but you don't have to stay there if you just want to visit the bathhouse. The main steam room bears the rather immodest name “Tsar's Banya.” And it's fully justified when surrounded by such views – the mountain peaks of Rosa Khutor, a noisy river, a beautiful waterfall. But we would recommend booking an open-air wood-fired hot tub and luxuriating for an hour or two in hot water with aromatic herbs and fruits.

Mountain Baths "Four Elements"
For restoring balance – come here. And at all levels, even fundamental ones. Starting from earth, water, air, and fire. The complex actually has rituals for each element: a Russian steam bath made of Siberian cedar, a “mazanka” steam room finished with Krasnaya Polyana clay from the southern slope of Mount Achishkho, an Alpine bath, and a Turkish hammam. There's also a cold plunge pool and a warm jacuzzi.
Where: Sochi, Estosadok village, Krasnaya Polyana resort 960

"Zen.Banya"
A steam room with a hayloft, swings, and panoramic windows. To warm up in the heat of a traditional banya and simultaneously admire the landscapes. They offer signature steam rituals here – with aromatherapy, banya massage, gong meditation, or SPA procedures, and afterwards, guests are sent for contrasting sensations into plunge pools with spring water. However, one of them is warm, so those afraid of getting cold again don't need to worry.

Price: from 4,000 ₽
Tickets: zenglamping.ru

Sulimovka Sky SPA
Most bathhouses are similar to each other in one way or another. They typically feature wood finishes, solid logs as stair railings, and an overall cozy, homey atmosphere. Sulimovka Sky SPA deviates from this aesthetic and lands somewhere near Pinterest images. Streamlined lines, a transparent roof, and an outdoor pool create an unforgettable impression. In addition, there are spa rituals, massages, and an AI assistant who will create a personalized relaxation program.
Where: Mountain Olympic Village, Sulimovka St., 29
Price: from 8,000 ₽
Tickets: sulimovka-skyspa.ru

Outdoor pools
Since Krasnaya Polyana, and Sochi in general, is primarily a resort, year-round heated pools are mainly found in hotels here. Fortunately, some allow guest visits.
Green Flow Hotel
Those beautiful social media photos from an infinity pool, where a smooth strip of water turns into a zigzag of mountain peaks, and steam curls above the blue surface – they're from here. Hotel guests can enjoy this opportunity for free, while others will have to pay. However, the pleasure is definitely worth the money: in addition to the “endless” outdoor pool, you can visit a Turkish hammam, Finnish sauna, grotto, ice fountain, and other parts of the thermal zone.
Where: Sochi, Adler District, Esto-Sadok village, Sulimovka St., 9
Price: from 4,500 ₽
Tickets: greenflow.ru

"Dolina 960" Hotel
Another place with an infinity pool, vying for Green Flow's crown as the sole owner of such a feature in Krasnaya Polyana. The 15-meter pool operates year-round, and winter swims in it can be pleasantly complemented by a visit to the sauna, hammam, and steam room. Since the hotel is located on an elevated position and away from Rosa Khutor and Krasnaya Polyana, nothing obstructs the mountain view.
Where: Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana Resort, Polyana 960, Gornaya St., 2
Booking: dolina960.com

Sunshine Park Thermal and Entertainment Complex
The Olympic Village also has its share of water entertainment. Sunshine Park does not have a room fund, so all visitors here are guests of the complex. The water in the pool is heated to 33-36 degrees, and if that's not enough, you can always go to the sauna: its visit is already included in the rate. There's also a gastro-bar and panoramic igloos for 10 people, where you can sit with friends.
Where: Sochi, Estosadok village, Victoria Square, 2
Price: from 2,000 ₽
Tickets: sunshinepark.ru

Country Hills Resort Hotel
If you still don't want to leave the epicenter of Sochi's winter events, you can choose Country Hills Resort as your permanent base. This compact, quiet hotel is located in the center of Esto-Sadok village. On the second floor of the building, you'll find a year-round heated pool with a shower, changing room, toilet, and equipped relaxation areas. Since the hotel has only 42 rooms, there will never be a big rush at the pool, so you can swim to your heart's content and relax in peace.
