To be closer to nature and at the same time relax in comfort – this is the idea glampings offer. Like everything modern and trendy, they focus on visual appeal, hence the unusual forms of structures – tipi-huts, barrel-houses, dome-sphere houses. This trend has been picked up by more traditional hotels, and we can only be happy: the more options, the better! In one of our articles, we already talked about what glamping is, and this time we found dome hotels and eco-spheres in 15 regions of Russia, so you have plenty to choose from.

Park-Hotel Orlovsky

Let's start with the Moscow region. The concentration of glampings with geodesic domes here is, of course, off the charts, because there are many Muscovites, and they need just as many places to relax. From all the variety, we chose the dome house "Sphere", located on the territory of the Park-Hotel "Orlovsky", at least because of the territory itself: these lands used to belong to royal estates, and now there are copies of the houses of merchants Shadrin, townsman I. I. Polyashov, and patron V. P. Sukachev of the 19th century. So, during the day you can go on a sightseeing tour, and spend the night in a cozy geodesic dome with all amenities. "Sphere" stands on a separate fenced area, so uninvited guests will not bother you. There is a swimming pool and a summer bar nearby.

Eder Vuoksa

The creators of this hotel tried to integrate its architecture into the cold, restrained beauty of the Karelian Isthmus. The result is very Scandinavian and northern – with large windows reflecting the sky, simple lines, and an achromatic color scheme. Each house offers a panoramic view of the Vuoksa, and inside – a true space for aesthetes with "floating" beds, minimalist furniture, and an abundance of natural wood. The "Reykjavik" houses, which are of interest to us, resemble a "Viking hut" in their shape: through the glass roof, you can admire the stars, and if you're lucky, even the northern lights.

Park-Hotel Spasskoye

We drive 300 km , 65 km from Yaroslavl, and 17 km from Rybinsk and arrive at the former estate of the Khlebnikov nobles. The location here is, of course, magnificent: on one side – the Volga, on the other – its own pond where guests ride catamarans in summer, and an eco-trail runs through the forest. But perhaps the best location went to the year-round dome tent "Sphere": away from people, with a view of the trees and its own hot tub on the terrace. Although there is a restaurant with Russian and European dishes on the hotel grounds, you don't have to leave your house: a kettle and a microwave oven can be found in the kitchenette.

Astrale Park

This is a more classic glamping. It's only 25 km from Ryazan, and the territory covers 24 hectares. There are only four dome houses (the fifth is a treehouse, the sixth will also be available for booking soon), each named after a constellation (Orion, Cassiopeia, Pegasus) and offering its own "perks": one has a Russian banya, another a Finnish one, and two others have heated tubs. In short, there's a choice for every taste. They offer a meditative and peaceful retreat, so entertainment includes forest walks, fishing, and swimming in the lake (but only in summer).

When you really want not just to get out of the city, but to truly "touch the earth", to feel a connection with nature, we recommend considering ecotourism. This is exactly what "YasnoPole" practices: on a territory of more than 500 hectares, there is a cheese factory, a stable, a poultry house, an apiary, a hayloft, and even a permaculture garden (you'll learn what that is too). This is about the agrotourism component, and there's also a cultural one with various art objects, master classes, and festivals. You can combine fishing on the Don River and the pleasure of hot tubs at the all-season glamping "Tri Vody". The bath complex includes a Russian banya, a Siberian tub, a cedar barrel, and near the houses – Japanese Furako tubs. This place is also notable for another unusual type of dome houses – the so-called "snails": it seems as if someone threw fabric over a hemisphere, leaving an entrance on one side and a panoramic window on the other. Comfort here is top-notch, the "VIP Snail" even has a massage chair! A restaurant serving breakfasts, soups, and hot dishes made from Don fish operates in the classic geodesic dome.

A waterfall of natural light, the rustle of a walnut grove outside the window, and an boundless feeling of unity with nature. This is what residents of Krasnodar seek at Apparadise Glamping & SPA. Glamping "Chai"

Why fly halfway across the world to Bali when you can admire the beauty of tea fields by taking tickets Moscow – Sochi? This glamping is located at an altitude of 500 m above sea level, beyond Kalinovoye Ozero village. And from the photos, it's indistinguishable from Indonesia! In summer, elephants are even brought here for added effect. A whole bathtub has been installed on the terrace, which, with the warm Sochi climate, doesn't need heating. Inside the tent, there's everything necessary for relaxation (fireplace, beds, kitchen), but all the most beautiful things are outside – the view of the plantation and mountains. Step out of the tent and immediately find yourself on the Black Sea coast. And in Crimea. And on the beach. In Evpatoria, this is possible. More precisely, a 10-minute drive from Evpatoria, at a glamping site. The dome houses are lined up, with wooden boardwalks running between them so you can shake off your beach shoes as you return to your house. By established tradition, the complex includes a Russian wood-fired banya and a home-style cafe. If you're going to the sea just to sunbathe and swim, renting a dome house is an excellent idea.

Moon Glamp

The only thing better than mountains are mountains where you can relax in comfort. It seems the creators of Moon Glamp thought exactly that when they set up nothing less than an all-season premium glamping in the North Caucasus. In such terrain, the geodesic dome architecture is especially good, as it allows you to greet sunrises and gaze at the stars through huge windows. The houses are spaced apart from each other, which means no one will disturb you while you splash in a hot tub and take endless selfies against the backdrop of emerald firs. This "village" is very "cool" because it is located near the village of Krutaya. And the opportunity to spend a real "morning in a pine forest" adds points to our respect. The transparency of the dome house, the brown hue of the other buildings, and the paths laid between them feel like superstructures over the landscape, preserving nature in its pristine state. In summer, you can have breakfast on the open terrace, in winter – by a panoramic window with a forest view. Relaxation in the hot tub is mandatory regardless of the season.

Altai and geodesic domes are made for each other. This is an ideal yet paradoxical combination of nature and futurism, where houses resembling half-balls are scattered across green or snow-white slopes, gazing with their huge windows at the picturesque Katun River valley. "Vdokh" offers a five-star standard of recreation in a place far from civilization. Given the variety of bath programs, the hotel can well be called an Altai spa resort: there are even ready-made wellness tours for two or three days. Each geo dome accommodates up to three people and has its own open terrace.
