By Train

There are routes from various carriers. Buses to Perm usually depart from the Central Bus Station (Shchyolkovsky) or the Yuzhnye Vorota Bus Station.
Perm has well-developed intercity bus connections with neighboring regions. You can travel by bus from Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Ufa, Kazan, and other cities in the Volga Federal District.

By Car
For road trip enthusiasts, a journey to Perm by private car can be a real adventure, offering complete freedom of movement and the opportunity to explore interesting places along the way.
The main route follows the M-7 "Volga" federal highway (Moscow – Vladimir – Nizhny Novgorod – Cheboksary – Kazan) to Kazan, and then along the R-242 through Izhevsk to Perm. Alternatively, via Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, and then to Perm. The total distance is about 1200-1400 kilometers, depending on the chosen route. Travel time without stops is about 16-20 hours, but it's better to plan a two-day trip with an overnight stay.
From Yekaterinburg, the distance is about 360 kilometers along the R-242 highway. Travel time is about 5-6 hours. Federal highways are generally in good condition. Along the main routes, there are enough gas stations, cafes, motels, and service stations.
