Best Ice Rinks in Moscow
Winter won't feel real unless you try mulled wine, visit the capital, and go ice skating. It's great that these three things can be combined for a cool vacation and a lot of memories. Fortunately, we know several beautiful ice rinks in Moscow and are happy to share them.

"Flight in Time", VDNKh
Probably the largest ice rink in Moscow is located at VDNKh (with infrastructure, its area is over 24,000 square meters). This year it celebrates its 10th anniversary, and in honor of this, the organizers decided to go all out: artists, competitions, master classes, and flash mobs. All of this can be seen until February 25, 2024. The main thing is to check the schedule on the website, as activities vary on different days (and are also time-limited). In a word – exclusive.
You can embark on your small space journey starting from 400 rubles (for children – from 200 rubles). You can skate unlimitedly around the rink, surrounded by thematic pavilions. This year, these are "Space" and "USSR Transport".
Address: Prospekt Mira, 119.
Opening hours: Tuesday — Friday from 11:00 to 15:00, from 17:00 to 23:00; weekends from 10:00 to 15:00, from 17:00 to 23:00. Monday — technical day.

GUM-Rink, Red Square
You can combine pleasure with utility – see one of the capital's main attractions and go ice skating – on Red Square. Firstly, GUM is nearby – one of the famous shopping centers that people rush to even to Moscow, and secondly, it's simply beautiful here.
GUM-Rink is open until February 29, 2024. Here you'll find everything to experience the atmosphere of a winter fairy tale and find that New Year's mood everyone is looking for: there's a Christmas tree in the middle, and souvenirs are sold in fair kiosks. If the day turns out to be too busy, you can treat yourself to shopping in the mall. The organizers clearly anticipated this outcome, so admission to the rink is free (but only for the first four hours and on weekdays. In other cases, you'll have to pay extra: an adult ticket costs 700 rubles, a child's ticket – 200).
Address: Red Square, 3.
Opening hours: daily from 9:00 to 23:30.

"Polyarny", Fili Park
Fili Park is located almost in the heart of the capital. In summer, people prefer to walk here. In winter, the situation changes: an open-air ice rink appears, which can be accessed completely free of charge. By the way, "Polyarny" is one of the few ice rinks in Moscow with relatively inexpensive skate rental: 300 rubles per hour and 100 rubles for locker rental.
By the way, "Fili" is a great place to visit in February. Despite the surroundings not being vibrant green, there's plenty to do here. The park's territory is large and also very beautiful.

"Culture and Recreation Rink", Gorky Park
The ice rink in Gorky Park is the most fashionable of all in Moscow. Firstly, you can have a great skate there: it has a large skating area with lots of different activities. Secondly, everything around is lit up, and there's even its own hockey rink! In short, it's a real treat for both players and fans of the sport.
Interesting facts: more than 5,000 people can skate on the ice simultaneously, and separate areas have even been made for children. In short, it's an ideal place not only for photos but also for family recreation!
And most importantly, ticket prices are very reasonable: from 400 rubles for the main rink and from 200 rubles for the children's rink.

"LEDO", Kashirskoye Highway
A truly unique place is the ice rink in TRK Vegas, located on Kashirskoye Highway. What makes it unusual is that it's not one of Moscow's outdoor rinks, but is hidden indoors. Therefore, it operates year-round, and thanks to the Happylon amusement park, it attracts visitors at any time of the year.
In fact, similar indoor rinks can be found in two other Vegas shopping complexes – "Crocus City" and "Kuntsevo". Just imagine: arranging a romantic date or a friendly skate, and then heading to find zen at the nearest cafe table. You won't even have to go far: everything is on one floor! And most importantly, admission is only 150 rubles, and this entertainment works year-round. In short, every day is skating season. A dream!

"PROLed", Hermitage Garden
For the most atmospheric ice rink, head to Hermitage Garden. One just opened there, called "PROLed". Everything around is ablaze with bright lights, and skating there at night is pure pleasure. By the way, they host the WinterFest themed festival here: people skate to music, and generally help find the New Year's mood and immerse themselves in a real fairy tale.

Unfortunately, at "Dreamers" in "Luzhniki", they won't tell you where to ski in Russia, nor will they share cool snowboarding slopes. But they will teach the little ones to play hockey and even offer individual training and air hockey. In general, the location looks tempting and incredibly interesting. Besides, it's not every day you get to visit one of the capital's largest ice rinks (its area is a whopping 16,000 square meters).
Although there are no ice paths here, the organizers managed to make the place very attractive, creating a cozy atmosphere with music and twinkling lights. In short, if you want to relax without stress – this is definitely the place for you. The price starts from 500 rubles.

Undoubtedly, the most youth-oriented place in Moscow is in Khodynskoye Pole Park. "Rink FM" is loved by DJs, so you can hear good music (from modern to nostalgic tracks) under neon lights here. There are no ice paths, it's true, but the skating area is gigantic — 1,200 square meters, so you definitely won't get bored.
Additional entertainment includes the "Aviapark" shopping complex opposite, and an admission ticket to the rink can be purchased from 300 rubles on the website. In short, for its price – it's top-notch, and you can even go shopping in the evening. What's not to like for your day off?

The views are beautiful, and the atmosphere is cozy: ice shows are held, warm drinks are sold, and you're simply invited to enjoy the scenery of the Moscow Canal.
