How to get to Panama City

Situated on the sun-drenched coast of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, Panama City draws travellers with its pristine white beaches and emerald waters. This popular resort in the United States offers ideal conditions for a holiday, combining a relaxed atmosphere with developed urban infrastructure. You can reach Panama City in various ways: by direct flight, by car along scenic routes, or by intercity bus.

The fastest way to reach the resort is by air, utilizing Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP). This modern aviation hub receives regular flights and is conveniently located relative to the main tourist zones, making arrival as comfortable as possible.

Alternatively, if direct tickets are unavailable, you can consider flying to neighbouring cities with a subsequent transfer. The nearest airports are located in the cities of Destin (about 83 km) and Dothan (121 km), from where it is easy to reach the coast by rental car.

There is no direct rail service to Panama City, as the city does not have a train station. Furthermore, the passenger train network in this region of Florida is practically undeveloped, so arriving via neighbouring Destin or Dothan by train is also not an option.

Rail travel enthusiasts would have to plan a route to major distant hubs (for example, in New Orleans or Jacksonville) and cover the remaining significant part of the journey by bus or car. This option is the longest and most logistically complex.

Tourists heading from the north, from the direction of Dothan, will spend approximately 1.6 hours on the road (133 km). Another comfortable route leads from St. George Island: the distance is about 120 km, which will take just over an hour and a half of driving.
