History & Facts

The story of Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery began in 2012 when husband and wife Dave Crosley and Teresa Dahl-Bredine opened a small inn and tavern in Lake Roberts. The name refers to Sapillo Creek (which translates to "little toad creek"), which flowed near their property in the Gila Wilderness.

The success of their home-brewed drinks was so rapid that by 2013, production moved to Silver City. The founders restored a 1940s building that formerly housed the Silver City Liquor Co. and installed modern brewing and distilling equipment. This allowed them to triple their production volume in the first year alone.

The Las Cruces location opened its doors in 2018, becoming a vital part of the downtown revitalization. Today, the company not only produces craft beverages but also actively supports the local community, collaborating with students from the NMSU brewing program and providing a stage for local musicians.
