For those who prefer public transport, the Chico Transit city buses are a great option. Routes #6 and #9 stop within walking distance of the entrance. If you are in the city center (downtown), a taxi ride will take only 10–15 minutes, while active travelers can walk there in about half an hour or arrive by bike along specially equipped paths.

Travelers from other regions should look for the nearest airport, Chico Municipal Airport (CIC), located 10 km from the park. The larger Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is 140 km away, from where it is most convenient to travel by rental car.
