El Coto de las Canteras is a stunning historical and cultural complex in the town of Osuna, located in sunny Spain. Known as the “Petra of Andalusia,” this ancient sandstone quarry atop the Cerro de las Canteras hill impresses with its scale and majestic rock formations reaching up to 25 meters in height.

For centuries, this site served as the primary source of golden limestone for the construction of the town's magnificent Baroque palaces and churches. Today, the quarry has been transformed into a unique 10,000 m² space, considered the largest natural amphitheater in the country, capable of hosting hundreds of guests for celebrations and concerts thanks to its exceptional acoustics.
\n\nThe grand modern reliefs adorning the entrance are of particular value. Created in 2004 by sculptor Francisco Valdivia, they are inspired by ancient Turdetani motifs. Here, you can see not only mythological scenes but also symbols of the region: depictions of the Dukes of Osuna, agricultural tools, and local flora, all carved directly into the rock face.
