The journey to Playa de las Conchas begins with a boat trip. First, you need to reach the island of Lanzarote and then take a ferry from the port of Órzola, which will take you to the main village of La Graciosa — Caleta de Sebo — in about 30–45 minutes.

Once on the island, you can choose from several ways to get to the beach itself, located a few kilometers from the port. The most popular option is a walk along the dirt roads, which allows you to fully enjoy the desert-like landscapes. You can also rent a bicycle or use the services of local 4x4 taxis (jeep safaris) that will quickly take you to the northern part of the island.

It is important to remember that there are no paved roads on the island, so be sure to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for the trek to the beach. We also recommend bringing an ample supply of drinking water and sunscreen, as there is almost no natural shade along the way or on the shore itself.

If you plan to do more than just drop by—perhaps have a full picnic and explore the northern part of La Graciosa in detail—it is better to allocate a full day (about 6–8 hours). This will allow you to have lunch at one of the cafes in Caleta de Sebo before or after your hike and avoid rushing to the last ferry back to Lanzarote.

As an open natural site, Playa de las Conchas is accessible 24/7, year-round. There are no gates, fences, or set schedules, so you are free to come here at any time that ferries run to the island of La Graciosa.

Nevertheless, we strongly advise planning your visit for daylight hours. This will not only ensure your safety while navigating the island's rugged terrain but also allow you to fully enjoy the incredible colors of the landscape. The best months to visit are from late spring to early autumn, when the weather is most stable; however, the winter months will please you with the absence of other tourists and the special, rugged beauty of the ocean.
