In one of the most beautiful spots on the Volga Embankment lies the Museum of the History of Yaroslavl—a key location for understanding the soul of this ancient region. Located in a late 19th-century estate, it tells guests the story of how Yaroslavl was built and developed, growing from a small fortress into one of the most important cultural centers that Russia takes pride in.

The museum occupies the building of the former estate of merchant V. Ya. Kuznetsov, built in the Eclecticism style. Its permanent exhibition, "Ten Centuries of Yaroslavl's History," covers a vast period, offering visitors a unique collection of artifacts, models, and documents, many of which were donated to the museum by the citizens themselves.
A special part of the museum's work is dedicated to preserving the memory of the historical city center, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you will not only learn dry facts but also feel a living connection through the personal stories of the people who created the fame of this great city on the Volga.
