The complex is striking in its scale, spanning a huge territory of about 107 acres (approximately 43 hectares). This vast area houses numerous statues, monuments, elegant fountains, and well-kept gardens. The center of the composition is occupied by a majestic statue of B.R. Ambedkar, symbolically surrounded by 62 life-sized elephant sculptures.
The entire architectural ensemble of Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan is crafted from noble materials – pink sandstone and gleaming white marble – giving it a particularly solemn and majestic appearance. The architectural style harmoniously combines elements of traditional Buddhist architecture with modern design solutions, creating a unique and memorable look for this significant site.
