There are four clearly defined seasons, allowing travelers to choose the most comfortable time for their trip based on their preferences. Precipitation

Sozopol experiences a relatively even distribution of precipitation throughout the year, without a pronounced rainy season. However, drier and wetter periods can be identified based on the number of rainy days. Packing Tips

When planning a trip to Sozopol, it is important to choose the right wardrobe to feel comfortable in any weather. During the summer months, from June to August, you can expect true beach weather with hot days and warm evenings. Your luggage should mainly consist of light and breathable items: T-shirts, shorts, sundresses, and, of course, swimwear. Don't forget reliable sun protection—sunscreen with a high SPF, a hat, and sunglasses are essential. For walking along the cobbled streets of the Old Town, comfortable sandals or espadrilles are ideal, and for the evening, bring a light sweater or shawl in case of a cool sea breeze.

In the shoulder seasons, spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October), the weather in Sozopol is changeable. This is the best time for layering. It may be warm enough for a T-shirt during the day, but by evening, you will need jeans, a sweater, and a light jacket. Given the possibility of rainy days and coastal winds, a waterproof windbreaker will be a great addition to your wardrobe. In winter, from November to March, the weather is cool and damp. You will need a warm jacket, sweaters, a hat, and comfortable waterproof shoes to comfortably explore the city and its surroundings without the tourist crowds.
