The venue is housed in a building reminiscent of a colonial mansion, with rustic elements characteristic of the famous town of Tiradentes. The interior and exterior are meticulously designed, creating a feeling of warmth and home comfort. Founded in 2013, the project grew from a private initiative of the owners into a landmark for connoisseurs of sophisticated yet simple cuisine and handmade goods.

The space is particularly valued for its philosophy of "affective gastronomy," where every dish is served with love, and a visit often ends with exploring a collection of art objects. Thanks to its high ratings and the sincere hospitality of the owners, Cheia de Graça has become an ideal location for romantic dates and family celebrations, offering guests panoramic views of the cityscape.

History & Facts

The history of Espaço Cheia de Graça began in December 2013, when Juliano Soares and Marcelo Barbosa decided to combine their passion for culinary arts and traditional crafts. It all started as a modest home project: on Saturdays, the owners sold homemade pastries, artisan snacks, and handmade items right from their house. A unique feature of that time was the tradition of starting and ending the workday with the Ave-Maria prayer, which created a distinct spiritual atmosphere.

Over time, the place's popularity grew through word of mouth and the incredible taste of signature dishes, such as Marcelo's cheese puffs or the Sunday Frango Caipira (farm-style chicken) prepared according to family recipes. In November 2014, the establishment underwent a major transformation: after extensive renovations, it turned into a full-fledged restaurant with a professional kitchen and an expanded menu, while retaining the cozy atmosphere of a colonial mansion.

A significant milestone in its development was the owners' pursuit of excellence. Through collaboration with the Senac organization in Divinópolis, the staff underwent specialized training, raising the level of service to new heights. Over the years, the space has introduced more than 120 unique seasonal dishes, firmly establishing its status as a cultural and gastronomic landmark of the region.

Time Needed

To fully experience the "Art and Flavor" concept, guests usually need between 1 to 3 hours. This is enough time not only to enjoy an exquisite lunch or dinner but also to carefully browse the craft shop, which features unique handmade items.

If you plan an evening visit, it is recommended to set aside about 2.5 hours. This will allow you to unhurriedly enjoy signature cocktails on the terrace with a panoramic view of the city and wait for your main course, which is prepared here with great attention to detail. Remember that the atmosphere of the establishment encourages slow relaxation and heartfelt conversations.
