Four Mile Beach is a picturesque symbol of Port Douglas and one of Australia's most recognizable locations. Stretching along Queensland's northeastern coast, this shoreline enchants travelers with its pristine golden sand, slender rows of palm trees, and majestic mountain ranges on the horizon.

Despite its name, the beach is actually about 4 kilometers long. It begins at the foot of Flagstaff Hill and extends south to the mouth of the Mowbray River, offering the perfect space for both secluded relaxation and active recreation surrounded by untouched tropical nature.
Four Mile Beach was named after the Fourmile family, who played an important role in the region's development. Today, this spot harmoniously combines a wild coastal atmosphere with the comfort of a modern resort, where visitor safety is ensured by a professional lifeguard patrol from the Surf Life Saving Club.
