Country | IATA Code | Airport Name | Operational Status as of March 11, 2026 | Specific Restrictions and Context |
UAE | DXB | Partial resumption of operations (since March 7) | After a complete paralysis from March 1 to 4 (over 3000 cancellations), the airport switched to a strict limitation mode. A "zero tolerance" policy has been introduced: passengers without direct flight confirmation are not allowed into the terminals. Minor damage to one of the concourses and slight injuries to four employees were reported as a result of an incident on February 28.
UAE | DWC | Al Maktoum | Limited operation | Is in a state of preventive closure with limited operations for receiving redirected aircraft. |
UAE | AUH | Partially open | The airport was attacked by drones on March 1-2, leading to a complete suspension of operations. Currently, strictly limited flights are being operated.
UAE | SHJ | Extremely limited | Serves a minimal number of flights, mainly by Air Arabia.
Qatar | DOH | Closed for commercial operations | The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has not granted permission to resume regular flights. The airport exclusively serves special repatriation flights and plans to resume Qatar Cargo freight operations from March 11 (subject to approval).
Iran | IKA | Imam Khomeini (Tehran) | Effectively closed | The main international gateway is closed to civilian traffic. Western airlines have extended the suspension of flights to IKA until the end of the winter schedule (March 28 for Lufthansa, March 31 for Austrian). |
Iran | THR | Mehrabad (Tehran) | Infrastructure damage | The airport was subjected to direct missile strikes on March 7, 2026. Reports indicate 16 military aircraft were destroyed, and extensive fires were recorded. |
Israel | TLV | Ben Gurion (Tel Aviv) | Limited operation | Since March 5, the airport has been accepting a limited number of inbound flights, primarily from national carriers (El Al, Israir, Arkia, Air Haifa). International Western companies have suspended flights. |
Jordan | AMM | Open (with critical disruptions) | Night flight restrictions were lifted on March 3, but the airport is suffering from a chain reaction of delays across the region. Dozens of daily cancellations are observed (up to 36 cancellations and 53 delays per day), leading to an accumulation of transit passengers.
Oman | MCT | Overloaded (reserve hub) | The airport has become the main southern bypass route. To prevent collapse, a NOTAM has been introduced, allowing only regular flights. Receiving business aviation aircraft and planes diverted to alternate airfields requires prior approval.
Bahrain | BAH | Completely closed | The Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs confirmed a drone attack that caused material damage to the airport's infrastructure. All commercial operations have been suspended.
Kuwait | KWI | Limited open | The Kuwait Civil Aviation Department reported a drone attack on Terminal 1, which caused minor injuries and localized damage. Airport operations are strictly limited.
Lebanon | BEY | Rafic Hariri (Beirut) | Closed | Flights to Beirut have been suspended by the vast majority of global air carriers. |
Saudi Arabia | RUH, JED, DMM | Functioning stably | The Kingdom's airports continue to serve flights, acting as reliable transit hubs, however, route adjustments are observed to bypass conflict zones. |
